About CardPayoffTools

Free, private, plain-language credit card payoff calculators.

Why this site exists

Credit card debt is the most expensive common debt in America, and the math that matters most — the total interest, the years, the trap built into the minimum payment — is the part nobody shows you upfront. Card statements show a minimum payment; they don't show that paying only the minimum can take 15+ years and cost more than the balance itself.

CardPayoffTools exists to close that gap. Each calculator answers one concrete question people actually ask — "when will I be debt-free?", "snowball or avalanche?", "is a balance transfer worth it?" — and each one ships with a short guide written in plain language, not banker jargon.

How we stay free

This site is supported by advertising. That's the whole business model: the calculators are free, unlimited, and require no account, and there is no "pro" tier hiding your results. Keeping the tools client-side (everything runs in your browser) also keeps our costs low, which keeps the site free.

What we're not

We are not lenders, brokers, or financial advisors. Every number on this site is an estimate based on standard card math and widely used rules of thumb. Card terms, APRs, and minimum-payment formulas vary — for anything that affects real money, please consult a qualified financial professional. See our Terms of Service for the full picture.

Privacy, briefly

We don't have user accounts and we don't want your data. Calculations run entirely in your browser; nothing you type into a calculator is sent to us. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.
